The Best LEGO Star Wars Minifigure Chosen Each Year

In this article we’re going to be taking a look at what I think is the best Lego Star Wars minifigure every year from 2012 to 2023.

SW0377 Clone ARC Trooper (2012)

In 2012, there were 71 new Star Wars minifigures introduced and the best one in my opinion is easily SW0377 Clone ARC Trooper. This minifigure appeared in one set ‘9488: Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack’. It’s arguably one of if not the best Lego Clone Trooper ever made from his Prince pauldron and waste cape, especially his helmet this minifigure is truly iconic.

SW0501 Jedi Consular (2013)

Moving on to 2013, there were a lot of great minifigures released this year especially Old Republic minifigures. Obviously, SW0501 Jedi Consular is the best one. SW0501 was featured in one set ‘75025: Jedi Defender-class Cruiser’. I like how unique the minifigure is.

SW0518 Clone Scout Trooper (2014)

Moving on to 2014, there were 82 Star Wars minifigures introduced. This was very hard to decide because so many incredible minifigures came out in 2014. The minifigure I ended up going with for this year was SW0518 Clone Scout Trooper. This minifigure was featured in three sets obviously the most notable one is ‘75035: Kashyyyk Troopers’. I just had to pick this one because of its significance, Lego finally made a new helmet mold for the SW0518, Its highly detailed printing makes it the best figure from 2014.

SW0610 Boba Fett (2015)

Moving on to 2015 there were 81 new Minifigures introduced this year and in my opinion the best one was SW0610 Boba Fett. This minifigure was featured in one set ‘75060: Slave’. When this minifigure came out it was a very big deal because it was the first arm printed Boba Fett. Obviously since the 2003 Cloud City 12 years prior, it was obviously a significant upgrade. This is even probably the best Boba Fett that Lego has ever made every area of this figure is just immensely detailed and also his pauldron looks really cool as well.

SW0787 Shoretrooper (2016)

Moving on to 2016, there were 116 new Star Wars minifigures introduced. Its a single year that most new Star Wars minifigures that Lego has ever made. In my opinion the best one was SW0787 Shoretrooper, this minifigure appeared in one set ‘75154: TIE Striker’. There were a lot of other minifigures I could have gone with from 2016 There were 116 new minifigures introduced this year but to me at least this Shoretrooper just stands above the rest. It’s one of the most unique figures we’ve ever gotten. What makes him unique from the other Shoretrooper is that he has that sand blue arm, as well as sand blue printing on his torso. The sand blue combined with the tan just looks so appealing to me. I think this is one of the most unique Troopers that Lego has ever made.

SW0845 Jango Fett (2017)

In 2017 there were 81 new Star Wars minifigures introduced. In my opinion the best one was SW0845 Jango Fett. SW0845 appeared in one set ‘75191: Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive’. This is the last Jango Fett minifigure that Lego has made over the past 8 years. That’s why I picked him for the best figure of 2017.

SW0923 Lando Calrissian (2018)

Moving on to 2018, there were 94 new Star Wars minifigures introduced. In my opinion the best one was SW0923 Lando Calrissian, SW0923 appeared in one set ‘75212: Kessel Run Millennium Falcon’. I think this is easily the best Lando kissan minifigure that Lego has ever made. His yellow torso combined with his unique blue cape, his black scarf all just works so well together. This is easily one of the most vibrant and unique figures that Lego has ever made.

SW1003 Clone Trooper Commander Gree (2019)

Moving on to 2019, there were 87 new Star Wars minifigures introduced. This year and the one I ended up going with was SW1003 Clone Trooper Commander Gree. SW1003 appeared in one set being ‘75234: AT-AP Walker’. I know a lot of people probably would have picked the 2014 Commander Gree as the best minifigure from 2014. In 2019 Commander Gree does get his flowers because they came out with a new slightly different version of him. The only difference is that his helmet and his legs are a bit darker. He’s an incredible minifigure and I think he’s by far the best from 2019.

SW1100 212th Attack Battalion (2020)

Moving on to 2020, there were 59 new Minifigures introduced. In my opinion the best one was SW1100 212th Attack Battalion. SW1100 was featured in one set ‘75286: General Grievous’s Starfighter’. There mainly this minifigure doesn’t have orange arms and it has a few dirt stains scattered around here, and there to add some extra detail. It looks great this is one of the coolest and most unique clone troopers Lego has made, It’s easily the best minifigure from 2020.

SW1152 Clone Commando Commander Crosshair (2021)

Moving on to 2021, there were 45 new minifigures introduced. The best one was SW1152 Clone Commando Commander Crosshair. SW1152 appeared in one set ‘75314: The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle’. This minifigure just looks incredible Lego definitely didn’t Perfect all of the bad batch clones not even close. But I think Crosshair was the one that they did the best job on his faint white GR grayish markings combined with the black. His green visor just looks so cool and unique. I think this is easily the best minifigure from 2021.

SW1195 Quarren (2022)

Moving on to 2022 there were 63 new minifigures introduced. In my opinion the best one is a bit of a lesser known minifigure SW1195 Quarren. SW1195 appeared in one set ‘75326: Boba Fett’s Throne Room’. This is a bit of a random minifigure, I always love when Lego gives us some random unique alien characters. Because they can be used in so many different ways, they can be used as background characters in mock, or you can take them apart and make new characters. This minifigure alone has a really awesome head mold along with really cool prints. That’s why I picked him as the best minifigure from 2022.

SW1287 Bo-Katan Kryze (2023)

Moving on to 2023, there were 69 new Minifigures introduced. In my opinion the best one was SW1287 Bo-Katan Kryze, SW1287 appeared in one set ‘75361: Spider Tank’ and even though that set is still in production. Because this minifigure looks awesome, the arm printing really does add so much, that combined with her white and blue helmet just looks absolutely incredible.
